One Year Later ❤️

One year ago, these two packed their bags and headed off to their forever home.

As a rescue, we spend so much time focused on the next emergency, the next intake, and the next animal in need that we don't always get to stop and celebrate the happy endings.

Today, we're celebrating this one.

These two have spent the last year exactly where they belong—safe, loved, spoiled, and cherished. Seeing updates like these reminds us why we do what we do. Every surrender, every late night, every transport, every foster home, and every hard decision is worth it when it leads to moments like this.

Happy Gotcha Day, sweet friends. Here's to many more years of naps, treats, and being adored by your family. 🥰

Not every animal will be understood.
Not every species will be loved by everyone.

But every living creature deserves compassion, safety, and a chance to exist without cruelty. 🖤

At Lady’s Legacy, we believe kindness shouldn’t depend on how “popular” an animal is. From wolfdogs to small exotics and the misunderstood animals in between, every life matters.

🚨 FOSTERS NEEDED – SARASOTA AREA 🚨
We’ve been asked to take in a low content wolfdog, but we CANNOT say yes without foster support.

This is where our community comes in.
We are urgently looking for experienced fosters in the Sarasota area who are willing to open their home and help us save this life.

🐾 About fostering with us:
• We cover approved veterinary care
• We provide guidance and ongoing support
• You provide a safe, stable environment

🐺 Ideal foster:
• Experience with northern breeds / wolfdogs preferred
• Secure fencing is a MUST
• Patient and understanding — these animals take time to decompress

This wolfdog deserves a chance — but we cannot do it alone.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, this is the moment it matters most.

🆘️🆘️🆘️Ruby needs a second chance🆘️🆘️🆘️
Due to unforeseen and sensitive circumstances, Ruby’s owner is being forced to move out of state (illegal state), and we have until May 9th to find her a new home.

Ruby is a 2 year old low-content wolfdog with a gentle, shy nature. She may take a moment to warm up, but once she does, she’s incredibly loyal and loving.

She’s:
• Good with dogs
• Done well with a toddler
• Cat-friendly
• Crate and leash trained
• Spayed
She is not currently up to date on vaccines, but records are available.

This is not where her story should end—we just need the right person to step in and give her stability again.

Right now, we’ve had a big influx of smaller critters come into our care, and we could really use your help.

We’re currently in need of: • Fleece blankets
• Enclosures
• Hides
• Water bottles
• Any small exotic supplies

We’re a foster-based rescue located in Sarasota, which means our animals are cared for both in our home and with experienced, trusted fosters. Every single donation goes directly toward giving these animals a safe, comfortable place while they wait for their forever homes.

Feeding time isn’t just about nutrition—it’s an opportunity to engage natural instincts like foraging and exploring. That’s why we use snuffle mats! By hiding fresh veggies and pellets in the folds, mealtime becomes a fun, stimulating activity instead of just a quick snack.

Miso the hognose snake was recently surrendered… but this isn’t a sad ending—it’s a new beginning.

Instead, Miso is safe, cared for, and already making themselves right at home here at Lady’s Legacy Inc 🐍
