Interesting how many of our tr*lls and haters don't even live in Florida. We're flattered that we inspire you from coast to coat and across the country!

AUGUST 28, 2026: WORKING 9-5 WON'T PAY THE RENT

Working 9-5 ain't enough to make a living. The administration says there's no money for food assistance or health care, but plenty of money for a ballroom and senseless wars.

The world needs more Dollys and fewer Donalds.

"“I want to scare them off. I want them gone,” said [Volusia] county council member Don Dempsey after hearing a presentation from county staff. “I want to preserve our water for our future generations to be able to drink — and not for data centers.”

A 12-month moratorium on large-scale data centers — those with a peak electrical load of 50 megawatts or more — was initially recommended by county staff after they were directed to research the centers’ environmental and health risks back in June.

But after hearing reports from county staff, and feedback from the public during an hours-long meeting, the eight-member council ultimately voted last week to move forward with a permanent ban."

"The Oviedo City Council plans to meet Monday to draft a measure terminating the city’s five-year, $128,000 contract with Flock and deactivating the eight cameras placed at the entrance to the city in 2025. The move comes after more than an hour of discussion and intense pressure from residents at the Council’s Aug. 17 meeting.

Lake City’s Council voted 3-2 against placing a special nonbinding referendum on the ballot in November asking voters if they wanted the city’s Flock cameras to continue operating.

In Palm Bay, the city’s Flock cameras are returning to service this week after being briefly deactivated pending a review to confirm they were permitted correctly.

Much like opposition to data centers, the pushback to Flock cameras is largely bipartisan. Leon County, a Democratic stronghold, voted in July to reject grant funding earmarked for Flock cameras following a public outcry."

From small towns to major metros, the blowback is bipartisan.

There's a lot of attention around Flock cameras, but Flock is a brand, and there are others that use (and misuse) the same kinds of data.

Dozens of cities have canceled their contracts with Flock. Some are switching to other companies, but privacy experts say they're no better than Flock.

"A growing and expanding list of citizens, whose only offense was to speak up for natural Florida, had their rights violated."

What were the people targeted by government spying actually doing? Exercising their free speech rights by questioning Florida wildlife commissioners.
