"Folks, the 7-11 developer has filed official papers. The Development Review Committee (DRC) has tentatively scheduled this for March 4th. At DRC meetings there is not the opportunity for public comment. Here is the notice:

Notice is hereby given that Site Plan, Major Conditional Use, and Minor Conditional Use Application Nos. 26-SP-07, 26-CU-01, & 26-MCU-03 โ 3535 N. Tamiami Trail (North Trail 7-Eleven) have been filed with the City of Sarasota by Amy Concilio, Esq., of Williams Parker, P.A., on behalf of Spiro Comitos of ERD-Sarasota, LLC. (property owner).
Brief Description: Request for Site Plan approval to construct an approximately 4,853-square foot 7-Eleven motor vehicle fueling station on an approximately 1.56-acre subject property with a street address of 3535 North Tamiami Trail. Minor Conditional Use approval is proposed to allow ten fueling stations beneath a canopy structure, and Major Conditional Use approval is proposed to allow the business to operate on a 24-hour basis. The property is zoned North Trail (NT) zone district and has a Future Land Use (FLU) classification of Urban Mixed-Use, as more particularly described in said applications.
