“Jake’s Place” was unveiled on the campus of “The Haven.” The single-family group home for disabled adults is a 6,500-square-footer, built by Half-Acre Construction.

It was a Bee-zy day at The Haven today🐝.
Daniel is an RBT at The Academy and he is also a Bee Keeper. He volunteered to relocate a Bee Hive that had formed in a fallen log on campus. Big shout out to Ray and Daniel the Bee Keeper for getting this done!
Fyi. That is the sweetest honey you will ever taste! 😋🍯

On Saturday, July 11, Mote Science Education Aquarium — 📍225 University Town Center Drive — will open its doors an hour early exclusively for individuals with sensory processing differences or autism spectrum disorders at Sensory SEA.

During Sensory SEA, Mote will create a welcoming, calm and inclusive environment with sensory-friendly modifications including:

✨Softer lighting
✨Reduced noise levels
✨Minimized visual stimulation whenever possible

Sensory backpacks are available free of charge for checkout in exchange for an ID during Sensory SEA events, as well as during regular operating hours.
