🧺☀️ Happy International Picnic Day! 🧺☀️

A blanket in the shade, good food, and the people you love close by—picnics get a lot right about staying well. Fresh air, real food, and genuine connection are some of the simplest (and most powerful) forms of self-care there is.

It's also who we are at PWMC: for the community, by the community. Everyone deserves a seat at the table, which is why our care is barrier-free and no-fee-for-service, welcoming 23,000+ neighbors since 2017.

So pack the cooler and grab a friend this week. 🌳 There's always room for you here—our care includes you. 🧡

🥕 Wellness Wednesday: Happy National Eat Your Vegetables Day!

What's on your plate shapes how you feel and how you heal. Good nutrition is one of the most powerful forms of preventive care—supporting healthy blood pressure, steady blood sugar, and so much more. At Point Washington Medical Clinic, the heart of our work is catching things early and helping our neighbors stay well. You don't need a big plan—just add one more veggie to dinner tonight. Because our care includes you.

✨ Meet Felix. ✨

Our mobile medical unit just got a glow-up, and we're so grateful to Southern Image Vehicle Graphics for making him shine — neighbors helping neighbors, right here on Highway 395.

But Felix isn't just looking good. In the coming weeks, he's hitting the road to expand our mobile coverage into the rural parts of Walton County, bringing barrier-free, no-fee-for-service care directly to the people who need it most.

Since 2017, our volunteers have served 23,000+ patients and saved our community an estimated $8.7M in averted ER costs in 2025 alone. Felix is how we carry that mission further.

Thank you, Southern Image, for helping us put our best face forward. 🚐❤️

Last week, Point Washington Medical Clinic was among the community partners gathered at the Alabama-West Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in Pensacola.

It was a meaningful few days connecting with congregations and community members across South Alabama and Northwest Florida and sharing our mission of barrier-free, no-fee-for-service care.

PWMC is a clinic powered by people of all backgrounds who believe healthcare should reach everyone. Faith communities across our region are among our most generous supporters—and gatherings like this remind us what's possible when we show up for one another. 💙

Some of the most powerful medicines do not come from a pharmacy. It comes from a stranger willing to roll up their sleeve. 🩸

This Sunday, June 14, is World Blood Donor Day—a global thank-you to the voluntary donors whose generosity saves lives every day. This year's theme: One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives.

Blood can't be manufactured—it can only come from people who choose to give. And a single donation can help save up to three lives.

That spirit of neighbors showing up for neighbors is the heart of what we believe: for the community, by the community. If you're healthy and able, consider giving—it takes about an hour and can mean everything to someone you'll never meet.

💙 To every donor: thank you.

Whether you're a seasoned player or have never touched a tile, you're welcome at the table. This is exactly what we mean by "for the community, by the community"—PWMC is more than a clinic; it's a place to gather, connect, and look out for one another.

Space is limited, so RSVP by Friday, June 19th, to save your seat.

We'll see you there! 🀄💙

We promise this wasn't planned. 😄

Our Director of Nursing, our Provider Liaison, and our Volunteer Coordinator all walked into the clinic wearing the exact same PWMC tee—no group text, no heads-up, no coordination whatsoever. Just three people so in sync they apparently share a brain (and a wardrobe).

Honestly? It tracks. This is what it looks like when a team really clicks. At PWMC, "for the community, by the community" isn't just a tagline on a t-shirt—it's how we work every single day, leaning on one another so that every patient who walks through our doors feels seen, not processed.

And that teamwork scales far beyond these three: 280+ volunteers giving 51,000+ hours to make barrier-free, no-fee-for-service care possible for our neighbors.

Great minds think alike. Apparently, they dress alike, too. 💙

Today is the International Day of Play—a UN observance reminding us that play isn't a luxury. It's how children learn, build confidence, make friends, and grow into healthy adults. This year's theme says it perfectly: Protect play, protect childhood. 🛝

At PWMC, that's close to our hearts. Protecting a child's health is part of protecting their childhood—and when families can get care without cost or insurance in the way, kids are freed up to do what they do best: be kids.

And don't forget: play is good for grown-ups too. It lowers stress, lifts our mood, and brings us together.

So today, choose to play. Make space for joy.

This Wellness Wednesday, we're looking ahead to International Men's Health Week, June 15–21.

It's a global push to get men talking about—and acting on—their health, and the numbers show why: men are far less likely than women to see a doctor, and too often only come in once something is seriously wrong.

That's the gap we exist to close. At PWMC, primary care is barrier-free and no-fee-for-service—blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and mental health checks with no cost and no insurance hurdles. 72% of our patients tell us they avoided an ER visit because of the care they got here.

💙 So here's your nudge: check in on the man in your life who's been "too busy" for a checkup. Our care includes you. 💙

Yesterday, Point Washington Medical Clinic joined free and charitable clinics from across Florida at the FAFCC Impact Summit in Orlando—a day focused on the fundraising and sustainability that keep barrier-free care alive.

We're proud that our Executive Director, Hillary Glenn, DNP, served as a panelist, sharing the vision behind PWMC's volunteer-driven, no-fee-for-service model.
That model works because of you: 280+ volunteers, 51,000+ hours, 20,000+ patients served since 2017.

Radically inclusive healthcare for the community, by the community.
