Avoid 126 Between Santa Paula and Fillmore, very bad accident, appears to be multiple fatalities.

Series of strong storms inbound. Lakes are pretty much full, so they will not be able to hold any of the water that will be coming with these storms. We will likely see some snow out of these storms in the upper hillsides and backcountry.

Hazardous weather is on the way, and is expected to impact travel tonight through much of the coming week. Monday's system will bring strong winds, heavy rain, mountain snow, thunderstorms, large, hazardous surf and possible weak tornadoes. Low elevation snow with impacts to the Grapevine on I-5, Highway 33 and potentially some of the other lower elevation passes Tuesday and Wednesday.

Just a heads up! Traffic is beyond horrible right now at Hallock and 126, if you need to go either direction you might want to use South Mountain to save you the agony of getting stuck in the mess at Hallock and 126.

Units are on scene at Santa Paula Airport for a swift water rescue. A camper/trailer was seen floating down the river. Helicopter is searching the area attempting to locate the trailer.

Traffic collision - Heavy Rescue with major injuries on the 126 near Boosey road, just East of Santa Paula. Helicopter is inroute, expect road closures during this incident.

Here is the latest information from the National Weather Service. This is going to be a very strong storm, make any necessary preparations well ahead of the storms arrival.

A strong atmospheric river storm is on it's way to disrupt this holiday week.

- Rain can be expected Tuesday through Saturday
* Heaviest Tuesday Night through Wednesday Morning
- A FLOOD WATCH is in effect Tuesday Afternoon through Wednesday Evening
* All 4 counties: San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, L.A.
* Debris flows and widespread urban flooding possible
* The watch may need to be extended through at least Thursday
- Gusty SE winds Tuesday-Wednesday
-5-15% chance of thunderstorms Tuesday-Thursday

Heavy rains on the way, will have more information as the storm gets closer.

Confidence is high in a return of rainfall to Southwest California next week, with rainfall likely peaking Christmas Eve through Christmas Day (December 24 - 25). While the most likely outcomes are shown in the graphic, there is still some uncertainty regarding the details. Stay tuned for updates.
