MathAmigos is dedicated to helping teachers and families, from Pre-K to Grade 9 (and above!), inspire kids to love math in over 20 Santa Fe Public Schools as well as in rural and pueblo schools in Northern New Mexico.

66 teachers attended this fall’s MathAmigos’ workshops on October 11 and November 8, designed to give K-8 teachers best practice strategies for inspiring kids to love math. Teachers attended one of three new 3-hour mini-courses: Friendly Fractions, Integrating Mathematical Thinking through Engaging Math Circles and Games, or Enriching STEM Teaching with Creative Data Science. Teachers rated over 90% of workshop mini-courses 4.5 to 5 (5=highest). Much appreciated support from The Encantado Foundation provided teacher stipends.
