We are a community-based organization whose purpose is to preserve our heritage & narratives of the Silk Roads to Oghá P'o'oge, Santa Fe, NM through art, music, and 'Santa Fe Stone Soup Kitchen - 3 Cups of Tea’ arts & cultural events in New Mexico, USA. We are a collective of beautiful, unique, resilient narratives comprised of immigrants from South and Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. I
t is a community non profit organization founded by Miraj Bukhari-Frayer, an Afghan-Pakistani American, Artist, Therapist, and Community Advocate, the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Santa Fe Refugee Collaborative. The Avizeh Collective was created on the principles of preserving the unique cultural identities, to engender increased discourse, and awareness surrounding RIM community members through creativity. In our current geo-political refugee diaspora, we wish to make a social impact in the livelihood of families from these regions through story telling, music, dance, art, and food culture hosting the Santa Fe Stone Soup Kitchen projects/ 3 Cups of Tea events. In the process we hope to collaborate and bridge understanding in that we share and acknowledge our one common humanity on indigenous Tewa land. Come journey with us from the diverse Silk Roads to O'ga P'ogeh, Santa Fe, New Mexico. If you are a venue, an artist, poet, musician, dancer from these regions please feel free to contact us. For those who believe in our cause and mission please consider supporting us!
