Behind the Mission 🎥✨

Before a single patient walks through the door, our team and volunteers are here making it happen. Tables set, equipment checked, stations ready, all so tomorrow's clinic can deliver free care to neighbors who need it most.

This is the part you don't usually see, and it's one of our favorite parts. Every box unpacked and every chair placed is an act of care.

🪥 Two minutes. Twice a day. That's all it takes.
October is , and the California Dental Association's top tip is simple: brush for two full minutes, twice a day, with fluoride toothpaste. Add daily flossing and regular checkups for a healthy smile.

But for many Californians, a dental checkup is out of reach. 💙 That's why Healing California brings free dental care to people who need it most.
This season, Give Smiles 😁. Thanks to our Founder, Linwood Boomer, every gift is doubled up to $50,000. Your $50 becomes $100 in care.

"I had to figure out what I wasn't going to pay because I had the dental bill."

A Fresno veteran and single mom shared this with us while her daughter got care at our clinic. Her daughter needs a lot of dental work, and the bills were adding up faster than she could keep up. At Healing California, that care came at no cost to her family.

This season, you can help the next family. Thanks to our Founder, Linwood Boomer, every gift is doubled up to $50,000.

Happy Birthday, Linwood Boomer! 🎉🥳

Today we celebrate the Founder of Healing California. Linwood has given his time, talent, and treasure to this mission, first by founding the organization, then by serving as Board Chair for seven years. He remains a passionate advocate and supporter today, and this year he's the matching donor for our Year-End Campaign. 💙

Thank you, Linwood, for helping us change the lives of more than 27,000 patients since 2018.

👓 Today is , and it's the start of our Year-End Campaign: Give Sight. Give Smiles. Give Healing.

For many Californians, a pair of glasses is out of reach. Without them, a child can't read the board, a parent can't drive to work, and a grandparent can't see the faces of the people they love.

At our free pop-up clinics, Healing California provides eye exams and prescription glasses to people who have nowhere else to go.

✨ Double your impact: Our Founder, Linwood Boomer, will match every gift dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000.

More than 1 billion people worldwide live with vision loss that could be prevented or treated. Here in California, the gap starts early.

👓 5 out of 6 California kids on Medi-Cal aren't getting basic eye care.

📍 Nearly 1 in 4 communities in our state have no eye care provider at all.

This World Sight Day, Healing California is launching our Year-End Campaign: Give Sight. Give Smiles. Give Healing. Every gift brings free vision care to Californians who need it most

🎉 Double your impact! Thanks to a generous matching gift from Healing California's Founder, Linwood Boomer, every donation will be doubled, up to $50,000. That means one gift, twice the healing: twice the eye exams, twice the glasses, twice the smiles.

💙 Love your eyes, and help someone else see clearly.

Behind the Mission 💙

This past weekend, Alongside our partners Los Médicos Voladores, The Flying Doctors , we provided free dental and vision care to about 250 patients in Thermal, CA, many of whom had been waiting far too long for it.

Behind every smile and every new pair of glasses was a team that showed up: dentists, dental students, optical lab staff, and student volunteers who gave their time to serve their community. 🦷👓
To everyone who gave their time and skill: thank you. This is what it looks like when a community takes care of its own.

Behind the Mission 💙

Every clinic starts with people who show up. At our recent event at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds, volunteers filled our Patricia Jeanne Lyons Mobile Optical Lab, fitting patients with glasses so they could leave seeing clearly, and our Dental team of dentists, hygienists, assistants, and students spent the day restoring smiles and relieving pain.
None of this happens without them. They give their time, their skills, and their hearts so that people who've gone without care can finally get it, at no cost.
To every volunteer who made this day possible: thank you. You are the mission. 💪

Clear vision changes everything. 👓✨

Shoutout to our partners True Vision Optometry Together we gave 1,000+ Downey USD students their first ever eye exam and a free pair of glasses in 2025. Grateful for Dr. Corona, Dr. Salado, and their whole team, and we're on track to carry that same impact in 2026.

We always do more when we do it together. 🤝
