As part of the Open Studios Program, Arts Council Santa Cruz County is offering a FREE workshop this Thursday, August 20th from 6-7:30pm at Radius Gallery.

Presented by Open Studios artist Anna Cummins, who will be sharing helpful tips and tricks for posting effectively on Instagram.

Arts Council Santa Cruz County is seeking two dedicated drivers to support our Mariposa Arts after school program in Watsonville this upcoming school year - starting in September! The position pays $20 an hour.

Do you know of any retired teachers, grandparents or other community elders that may be interested and available for about an hour each afternoon?  All drivers must get fingerprinted and district clearance and have reliable transportation. 

This role is Tuesday - Thursday from roughly 3-3:30 PM weekly throughout the year, transporting a small group of our high school student teachers from their high schools to their elementary and middle school teaching sites to teach.

Arts Council Santa Cruz County, in partnership with the City of Santa Cruz & with support from an anonymous donor, is launching a new public art opportunity!

One artist will be selected to create a site-specific artwork for the sculpture pad in front of Jamba Juice downtown.

Important dates:
✨ Monday, August 3 at 4pm: Hybrid Info Session - attend in person or via zoom, register with link in bio

✨ Friday, August 7 at 12pm: Site Tour

✨ Wednesday, August 26 at 11:59pm: RFQ Deadline

The City of Santa Cruz Office of Economic Development is looking for a qualified curator or curatorial team to submit proposals for the SculpTOUR Downtown Rotating Public Art program 💫

Mariposa Arts is offering a paid after-school program starting in September! Just two days a week, students can gain hands-on experience in teaching, leadership and the arts while directly impacting local youth and kickstarting their creative careers.

Join three experienced storytellers as they explore how artists can use both words and visuals to tell compelling stories, connect with audiences, and communicate the value of their creative practice.
