Makam Hoyo, based in Santa Cruz, California, is focused on providing assistance to people in need worldwide. Makam Hoyo's main priority is to deliver clean water, education, medicine, shelter, food, and other various resources to the people who need it most. Currently, Makam Hoyo is now raising funds to complete the construction of a hospital in Raaso, Ethiopia through the Raaso Relief Rehabilitation and Development Organization (RRRDO). The foundation for the hospital has been laid, and the steel framework is erected. There is much more work to be done to be to make the Raaso hospital a reality. Due to shortage of funding the project is taking longer than planned. This website: http://raasorelief.org has more information on the particular funding needed. Please consider becoming a contributor to this cause by donating to Makam Hoyo or by volunteering at the various fund raising projects listed. You may also assist by providing a micro finance loan to this project and other similar projects by becoming a lender through the Kiva organization. Your micro loan of twenty five dollars or more would help support women entrepreneurs all over the world in need. Kiva assists with repayment of the loan from the entrepreneur that you lend to and the money will be credited back to your account when the entrepreneur pays the loan back. A microfinance loan of twenty five US dollars converts to a much larger amount in the local currency of the country where you choose to lend to.
