We provide transport, resources, & adoption counseling to save lives & keep families together ❤️🐾 Ollie’s Angels Animal Welfare Society is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting rescue groups and empowering pet guardians through education, outreach, and hands-on resources. While we are not a rescue ourselves, our purpose is to help strengthen the rescue community and

provide pet owners with the tools they need to care for their animals responsibly. Our services include adoption and intervention counseling, organizing community adoption events, and providing support to fosters and rescues, including funding, supplies, and logistical guidance. We also connect pet owners and adopters with affordable spay/neuter programs, veterinary care, training resources, and other critical services. Together, we can reduce shelter intake, keep animals in loving homes, and build a future where every pet has the support they need to thrive.

💙🐾 We had an incredible time visiting Oak Hills Elementary to teach students about safely interacting with dogs, understanding canine body language, and the importance of respecting animals and their space.

The students were especially excited to meet three of our rescue dog ambassadors (courtesy of Shepherd's Paws Animal Rescue)—Foxy, Brynn, and Sam—who helped demonstrate what friendly, relaxed, and respectful interactions with dogs look like in real life. 🐶❤️

One of our special guests, Sam, is currently looking for a forever home! This lovable shepherd mix was a wonderful ambassador for rescue dogs and soaked up all the attention from the students.

We were also deeply touched by the generosity of the Oak Hills community. Through their Kindness Week fundraiser, students, teachers, and staff raised more than $2,500 to support shelter and rescue animals in need. 🎉🐾

Their donation will help provide training support, medical care, and other resources that give vulnerable animals a second chance at finding loving homes.

Thank you to everyone at Oak Hills Elementary for welcoming us, asking thoughtful questions, and showing so much compassion for animals. We loved meeting the next generation of animal advocates and sharing how kindness, respect, and understanding can make the world a better place for both people and pets.

✏️Send us a DM if you’d like us to come to your school next!!! 🌟

Together, we’re creating a more compassionate community—one paw at a time. ❤️🐾

✨ Would be happiest as an only dog

🚨 THIS IS HOW WE PREVENT LOSS OF LIFE 🚨

250 dogs. 66 cats. All just entered an already overwhelmed system. And when space runs out…the animals who were already there pay the price.

We cannot let that happen.

The solution is simple, but we need people to step up: 👉 FOSTERS.

Every foster home = a life saved. Every open kennel = another chance.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, please don’t wait for “someday.” This is the moment that matters.

Message us. Ask questions. Say yes. We will walk you through everything.

Let’s make room without losing lives.

One of the most persistent myths in animal rescue is that dogs who end up in shelters or rescues are somehow “broken.”

In reality, most rescue dogs have simply experienced change—new environments, lost homes, or periods of uncertainty. Like people, those experiences can shape them, but they don’t define their worth or potential.

Dogs are incredibly resilient. With patience, structure, and time, many rescue dogs grow into loyal, intuitive companions who form deep bonds with the people who give them a chance.

They aren’t broken.
They’re simply waiting for someone to believe in them.

This post is part of our What We Wish Adopters Knew series, where we share honest insight from the rescue side to help dogs stay in homes long-term.

Thank you for learning with us 💙

🚨 GiveBack Weekend is here! 🚨

This weekend, every vote for Ollie’s Angels in the MyGivingCircle grant contest generates a $1 donation for our work — even if you’ve voted before.

Even better:
Every donation generates $2 for Ollie’s Angels 💜

That means a simple click can directly support the work we’re doing to advocate for shelter dogs, support rescues, and provide education and resources to our community.

It takes about 10 seconds to vote, and every vote helps bring critical funding to animal welfare organizations like ours.

If you’ve supported us before, you can vote again this weekend and it still counts.

We appreciate every single person who takes the time to help 🐾

Harvest came to Castaic Animal Care Center as a 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who was absolutely terrified of the world.
She was labeled Rescue-Only — not because she was dangerous, but because fear had completely shut her down.

Ollie’s Angels stepped in and gave her the chance she deserved.

Today, Harvest is Addie — a loved, safe, deeply cherished girl in her forever home with two incredible humans who have shown her patience, gentleness, and unconditional love. And in return, she has started to bloom. Her confidence is growing. Her light is coming back. 🌱

To Addie’s adopters:
Thank you for seeing her for who she truly was beneath the fear, for loving her through her healing, and for giving her the life she always deserved. We could not have dreamed of a better home for her, and we are so grateful to you for choosing her and walking beside her as she learns how to feel safe.

And a huge thank you to Save a Heeler for sharing Harvest and helping her story reach the people who made this rescue possible. It truly takes a village — and we are so thankful for yours.

This is what happens when fear is met with love.
This is what rescue makes possible.

💛 If you made a pledge for Harvest, please consider honoring it with a donation to Ollie’s Angels so we can keep saying yes to dogs just like her — the scared, the overlooked, the ones who just need someone to believe in them.

✨ Please note “For Harvest” or “For Addie” with your donation ✨
