Get Loud for Kidneys 501(c)(3) nonprofit Empowering people to speak up about their connection to kidney disease while creating supportive communities that facilitate change.

Awareness Creates Change. We support kidney patients in their search for a living kidney donor and overall mental and physical wellness. We raise awareness for kidney health, kidney disease and living kidney donation. We support living kidney donors in their process of donation connecting them with people who have donated and providing other resources when possible.

Our Story

The diagnosis of kidney disease in the United States and all over the world is increasing at a rapid rate. A big reason for this is the increase in cases of obesity and diabetes, high blood pressure and overall lack of health awareness. Many of these cases can be prevented if educational resources are provided to our communities. Beyond that there are people with Polycystic Kidney Disease, FSGS, Lupus resulting in kidney disease and other not so common causes that need to be talked about. We need everyone connected to kidney disease (patients, caregivers, friends, medical professionals) and donation, especially living donors to GET LOUD. Kidney disease is not a new medical issue, but it continues to get worse. This just shows that we do not have enough people speaking up for change. We need much more visibility and people willing to take action. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the overall mission of empowering people to speak up about their connection to kidney disease while creating supportive communities that facilitate change.

Awareness creates change and it’s when we all start speaking up about our connection to kidney disease that we can take action together.
