Food Hero Spotlight - Tom and Deb Cox are two of our awesome meal delivery drivers. They are always going above and beyond to ensure our beloved seniors get their meals. We are so thankful for their loyal commitment and service. When asked about Meals on Wheels, they said, "We love delivering meals to people in need, getting to know them and seeing their smiles and thanks in appreciation, which gives us a great sense of satisfaction. We also enjoy the camaraderie of being with the other volunteers whose joy in giving we share."

Parents truly do it all, from balancing busy work schedules, to juggling kid's activities and making meals. Today we want to take a moment to appreciate their sacrifice. We are blessed to help deliver meals for older parents who can no longer provide for themselves. Help us care for those who gave so much for the upcoming generations.

Today is Gorgeous Grandma Day! Help us celebrate Maura Pezzati who became a great grandmother almost a year ago. Maura and one of her delivery drivers, Barbara, were both expecting great grandsons around the same time. So of course, they made it a little competition to see whose grandbaby would arrive first and Maura won! Their friendship through Meals on Wheels is truly inspiring and we are so excited for both of them on becoming great grandmas. Today we spotlight Maura as the gorgeous and loving grandmother that she is both inside and out.

Exciting news! Meals on Wheels is expanding with the opening of our new Goleta route!

This new route means more older adults in our community will receive nutritious meals, friendly visits, and the support they need to remain healthy and independent at home.

We're grateful to our volunteers, supporters, and community partners who helped make this possible. Together, we're reaching more community members with nourishment, connection, and care.

Meet our wonderful client Janice! She is a beloved client who loves connecting with her delivery driver everyday. She says that she especially enjoys learning about their families and feels like she travels the world hearing their stories. Our seniors, like Janice make every thing we do worth it.
