It takes a Village to raise a child.
As you all know we are here for the same reason, focusing on our children during their learning periods as children, teenagers, and into their young adulthood.
What I have seen and heard is that there are a lot of young children being pushed to register as gang members, because...because it’s a “plea bargain” a plea deal for who? Them, the DA, the justice system? As what I have seen and heard is YES, to benefit the DA, the Correctional Facilities. The DA believe that applying this “label” on the innocent young children will stop the gangs, absolutely NOT. What is does it pushes the young individual to feel and start believing that he/she are failures because of the constant harassment. These individuals start giving up on their hopes and dreams because of the CONSTANT harassment of being stopped for what ever reason by the person wearing the badge.
How many of you mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, siblings, and or friends have or currently are in this situation, or know of someone in the same situation?
I have been patiently waiting if things would change or if someone will make a statement to change what is going on in our community. The time has come to make change and not let our children, our future of our children be forgotten. We must help them shine their hidden intelligence, and not let them give up on their dreams.
