Casper made it to his forever home in Vermont today. He was a stray trapped by CoPilot Animal Rescue just down the road from us. He got his name because before he was caught he would "ghost" the people trying to catch him and it took a few tries.
Sarah and Tom at Copilot began the process of making Casper realize he could be loved. Sally Amendola took a shine to him and began to walk and train him on a regular basis.
Sally contacted us and we put our team to work to find him a proper home. It really did take a village to get him to his forever family.
In a heartbreaking and hopeful picture, this beautiful boy chose the hard floor over his brand new bed after a very big journey. He doesnt quite realize how good he has it....yet.

Benny has his whole life ahead of him, and we can't wait to see him find the family that will make it wonderful.

Major was dumped in a cemetary in Mathis Tx. His owner was found and is now in jail for abandoning him. A little justice finally done for a crime that happens all the time..
The great work of Tom Armstrong at the Mathis shelter kept him safe. Julie Blevins from Muddy Paws had his heartworm treated. Shyannre from the Shelter took amazing photos and we put him up for adoption.
His adopter could not be more perfect. An Architect, a runner, a good guy. Major will be seen on the running trails in North Texas or the Dog Park close to his new home. Someone home almost all the tme with him. Major loves men and immediately knew what was going on. He jumped in the car and was off to his new life.
