Backpack Pals distribution starts next Friday throughout the Lee County school district. There are 22 schools participating this year to get weekend food assistance to families. If you or someone you know needs help please let your guidance counselor know. Call CUOC 919-774-8485 for help with adding your school to our list.

For more than twenty years, those in our community in need of food, clothing, and a helping hand have known where to go: Christians United Outreach Center of Lee County. Next Tuesday, September 8, join SAGA as we help them celebrate their next chapter with the Ribbon Cutting for their new and improved thrift store. The store doesn’t just mean great deals for us and a second life for our old goods – the proceeds go to support their food pantry, medical equipment loans, bill assistance, and other outreach programs. With their expanded space and capacity, they’ll be able to widen their reach – good news for our neighbors who rely on them in times of need. We look forward to seeing you there!

Every student in LCS will again receive NO COST breakfast and lunch throughout the 2026-2027 school year thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)!

Healthy meals help students arrive in the classroom ready to learn, grow, and succeed. By providing breakfast and lunch at no cost to every student, we’re helping remove barriers for families while ensuring our students have the nutrition they need to thrive each day.

It’s more than a meal. It’s an investment in our students, our schools, and our community. Here’s to another year of nourishing minds, supporting families, and fueling success - one meal at a time!
