ROAR provides a foster based environment for dogs needing homes here in NC. This includes those needing medical care, behavioral training, hospice care and/or rehabilitative services. We are a 501c3, non-profit that relies solely on monetary/material donations for our funding. Our dogs remain with us until adoption and we stay committed to them throughout their entire life, including taking them b

ack into the rescue if their family situation changes. They are family to us and we vow that they will never be abandoned again.

Our sweet girl Roxanne is officially ADOPTED! ❤️🏡

From the moment we met her, we knew Roxanne was a professional cuddler—and judging by these photos, she found exactly where she belongs. 🥹 She’s already claimed the couch, the blankets, and most importantly… her person. ❤️

These are the moments that make rescue worth it. Seeing a dog go from waiting for a family to being completely safe, loved, and HOME is everything. 🐾

Siouxsie is proof that sometimes the best adventures are the simple ones: a comfy spot, a good chew, and a little puppy happiness. 🥹🐶

She’s sweet, playful, curious, and full of that classic puppy energy… but she also knows how to slow down and enjoy some quality chew time! 😍

🚨🚨 INTAKE IS STILL CLOSED — AND WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CHANGE THAT! 🚨🚨

💔 DOGS ARE DYING IN LOCAL SHELTERS EVERY SINGLE DAY💔

And while they wait for someone to save them, our doors remain closed!

Another week has come and gone. Another event is in the books. We’ve celebrated some amazing adoptions — and we are SO grateful for every single one. ❤️

But the reality is…
🐾 Pickles, our longest resident, HAS FINALLY BEEN ADOPTED!!! ✅️
🐾 Sweet Roxanne is now our longest resident and she so deserves a home!
🐾 Our foster homes are stretched thin.
🐾 And our financial deficit continues to grow.

We WANT to help more dogs. We WANT to open our intake back up. We WANT to say YES when a dog desperately needs us.

But right now, we simply cannot.

🐾🎶SIOUXSIE — OUR LAST LITTLE ROCKSTAR! 🎤💿🎸

Siouxsie is sweet, playful, curious, and powered by what appears to be an ENDLESS supply of puppy energy! ⚡️🐶 This little girl is always ready for her next adventure, and we have a feeling that once she grows up, she’s going to make an AMAZING running, hiking, camping, or adventure buddy! 🌲🥾🎒

But here’s the part that breaks our hearts…

💔 SIOUXSIE IS THE LAST OF HER LITTER STILL WAITING FOR A HOME. 💔

Her siblings have found their families, and now this sweet little rockstar is waiting for someone to choose HER. 🥺❤️ She shouldn’t have to watch everyone else leave while she waits for her turn.

Siouxsie is currently working hard on her house manners and learning all about kennel life. 🎓🐾 Like any 10-week-old puppy, she’s definitely still a work in progress—but she’s learning more every single day!

She’s fostered in a home with multiple foster fur siblings and is doing WONDERFULLY! 🐶🐶 She loves her people, LOVES her canine friends, and her happy, playful personality makes her an absolute joy to have around. 💜

Now this little girl is ready for her BIG BREAK! 🌟

Her littermates have found their forever homes. Her bags are packed. Her stage is set. 🎤🎸

We have been waiting SO LONG to make this post, and today we finally get to say the words we’ve all been hoping for…

🏡 PICKLES HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! 🏡

Pickles waited longer than any other dog in our rescue for someone to choose him. After spending years of his life tied outside on a chain, this sweet boy came to ROAR still full of love, trust, goofy energy, and the biggest heart. Somehow, through it all, he never gave up on people. ❤️

And now, his people have finally found him. 🥹

To everyone who shared his posts, told a friend about him, loved on him, fostered him, donated toward his care, or simply rooted for this sweet boy—THANK YOU. Every single share helped keep his story going until it reached the right family.
