Toys for Tots Sanford, NC

I will be retiring as Coordinator for Sanford NC Lee County Toys for Tots as soon as we have the approval for a new Coordinator, I have been with them for 14 years and it has been my pleasure to help the children of Lee County. I do not have the words to express the joy and help I have gotten from the people of Lee County. This decision was not easy to make but I have not been able to have Christmas with my grand children in many years and have not gotten to ever have Christmas with my great grand children so I have decided that this is something I need to do for my family since I am not getting any younger.

I do ask you to continue your support to this great organization.
I will let you all know the new Coordinators information as soon as I can.🥰

2025 was my last year as coordinator and I have a lot of questions and do not seem to be getting answers so I have come to the people that will be able to answer them for me!
When I took over it was because the current coordinator passed away and had to figure everything out myself, I do not want the person taking over to have to deal with all.
1 Will they be able to take my card and use to buy supplies and toys or do they have to wait until after they attend training? She has been helping me for two years!
2 our Ups box needs to be renewed in April, who can sign the paperwork?
3 can they do events and send out new contact information so that the people of Lee County know who will be taking over?
4 I do not want her to be hanging in the dark!
Please can someone help me with this information!

5 has anyone ever included all toys together by mistake on their AAR put purchased toys with donated showed it balanced and was told to send purchased toy figures went back thru all receipts and got the purchased total but can not get an answer on reporting this figure. Do I have to redo the AAR or just send the purchased total toys to my district manager?

Help please do not need and more stress!

And just like that, our 2025 campaign is done! We handed out over 7,000 toys to nearly 1900 in Lee County over the last three days, including over 40 bikes and more scooters than we could count!

THANK YOU to all of our supporters, everyone who donated, Taylor Phillips and Britton Buchanan for an amazing benefit concert AND for their volunteer time, and all of our volunteers who worked countless hours in the cold. Onward to 2026!

On the eve of our toy handout days…

When we asked for help, our community answered in ways we never imagined.

We are deeply grateful to the Ruby and Ernest McSwain Worthy Lands Trust for their generous $25,000 donation, to the musicians and organizers who held a benefit concert in our honor, and to the many volunteers and donors who continue to show up for Lee County children.

Because of you, more kids will wake up to hope and joy this Christmas. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️

Brad and I have our toys packed and ready to head over to Lee County High School for tonight’s benefit concert. We are excited to be joining Taylor Phillips, Britton Buchanan, our first responders and community members to support Toys for Tots Sanford, NC! Doors open at 6pm – Concert at 6:30… See you there!
