ACFL Board of Director Election: Nomination Details & Process
Audi Club Florida is preparing to elect three (3) Board Director positions for the upcoming 2025 term in compliance with our Chapter Bylaws. Whether you’re considering a run for these positions or know someone who would be a great fit, here’s an overview of the goals and expeditions:
Our Goals:
Working collaboratively with fellow leaders, the Board Director’s role is to connect and engage with chapter members in order to elevate the Audi ownership experience. This includes:
- Organizing and managing events showcasing Audi vehicles with professionalism.
- Providing driver and safety education to our members.
- Offering guidance on Audi service and maintenance.
- Creating social activities that promote camaraderie among Audi enthusiasts.
Board Member Responsibilities:
As a member of the board of directors, your primary responsibility is for fiduciary oversight and governance of our Chapter. You should be wholeheartedly committed to advancing the vision and mission of the Audi Club of Florida Chapter. Here’s what the position entails:
- Leading the way, setting an example for other chapter members by acting in the best interests of the chapter.
- Maintaining a deep understanding of Audi Club of North America Florida Chapter and actively sharing its vision.
- Keeping up-to-date with all board correspondence in a timely manner, preparing for each board of directors meeting.
- Attend all regular monthly meetings and special board meetings and participate in proceedings.
- Reading and abiding by the chapter bylaws.
- Serve on at least one standing board committee.
- Actively engaging in opportunities to connect members with each other, both in person and online, and fostering relationships with fellow board members and chapter members.
- Being able to promptly disclose any conflicts of interest.
- Respecting and safeguarding confidential proprietary club data and assets, both financial and physical.
Nomination Details:
You have the option to self-nominate or nominate a fellow chapter member. However, please note that nominees must be a current ACNA member and Audi Club Florida Chapter member in good standing. Preference is given to nominees who have been ACNA members for at least 1 year. Nonetheless, individuals with less than 1 year membership maybe considered if they have demonstrated significant activity and participation in Florida chapter events prior to nomination.
In the case of multiple nominees from a single household, please be aware that only one household member may serve on the Board of Directors at any given time.
Staggered Term Lengths:
We are electing three (3) seats out of the 9 Board Members Positions. Each of these three (3) seats is for a three (3) year term.
Term will commence on 1/1/2025 and end on 12/31/27.Directors can run for re-election for one final consecutive 3-year term.
Nomination Process:
Current ACFL Leadership will validate all nominees' eligibility and reach out to confirm their interest in serving on the Board. Once the slate of Board Nominees is determined, we will post their information on the Chapter's website and distribute email ballots to all chapter members for voting.
