Asphalt work on Traceway (patching and repairs) has been scheduled for this coming Monday, April 20.

NOTE: Repairs to the asphalt near the South Gate (Traceway South at Cox Mill Rd) will necessitate that gate being closed to ALL traffic on Monday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The North Gate (also on Cox Mill Rd) is not affected and will be available to e-sticker holders.

As always, drive carefully and watch for workers and other distractions within our community.

This afternoon, CTA has been provided an update/correction from the Club (CTCC) with regard to the water use restriction on Lake Trace with regard to the hydrilla treatment. Please share this information with your POA members. It has also been sent to POA secretaries, presidents and communications and social directors for distribution:
"Lake Trace will be getting its first hydrilla treatment tomorrow by Triangle Pond Management.
While CTCC initially did not think there would be an issue with water use after the treatment, after consulting with Triangle Pond Management this morning, CTCC now believes that due to the treatment involving a chemical that has not previously been used in the Lake, an advisory is appropriate.
Therefore, CTCC recommends that Trace residents not go in or use the lake water until the Lake is tested on Friday to determine the level of chemical remaining in the water.
CTCC will update TLDC after the test results are known on Friday.
- Eric Graveen, CTCC"

SCAM ALERT - Hello CT community. It's come to our attention that some scammers are sending around an email attempting to solicit funds due to "zelle or paypal" issues from CTA leadership. Rest assured that this is bogus and do not engage with these miscreants.

NEITHER YOUR POA OR CTA WILL EVER ASK YOU FOR FUNDS IN THIS FASHION.

Please report the offending email address as spam through your email provider and then block them.

This is a communication from the Carolina Trace Association (CTA) Utilities Committee

CT RESIDENTS - Please read on to learn more about Ting Fiber Internet, and if you are interested, use the website link to sign up and let them know you are interested. There is no obligation until they build out the community, so you risk nothing.

The Ting Fiber Internet Interest Website is Live!

Ting has published a website to gage CT community interest and to answer questions about the service. Please visit https://internet.ting.com/carolina-trace and let them know you’re interested in seeing fiber optic internet lines brought directly your home in CT! This project cannot move forward unless a critical mass of CT’s 1700+ homes express definite interest on this website. Ting expects to offer reliable high speed fiber internet access (at up to 2,000 Mbps download AND upload) at a locked-in rate of $89.00 per month for at least the first five years.

Ting Town Hall is Coming! To learn more about Ting, come and meet them at the CT Community Town Hall on Wednesday, January 21, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Carolina Trace Country Club. In the meantime, you can watch their video. The addition of fiber to all homes in Carolina Trace will be a great amenity that improves home values.

Attention: All Carolina Trace Residents and Visitors
Re: June 2-3, 2025 South Traceway Sealcoating Project

Since this project impacts traffic patterns and points of entry/exit for the community, it is important to review this ASAP. It will impact the South Side POAs the most: On June 2-3 the ENTRANCE from Cox Mill Road to South Traceway will be closed. The EXIT to NC-87 from Traceway South will be closed. Please review the flyer for specifics as to the traffic patterns. Remember that these dates are contingent upon dry weather. If the sealcoating contractor changes the dates, we will alert you as soon as that decision is made. Hard copies of this flyer are available at the gatehouse and an electronic copy has also been sent to all POAs, and it is also available on the CTA website at
