What a beautiful day at our She Was Me Bowling Outing. We laughed, bowled, connected, and celebrated the incredible power of women supporting women.

One of the most memorable moments was presenting our 2026 She Was Me Legacy Scholarship to Ja’Neriah DeBose, who is preparing to begin her journey at Spelman College. We were honored to welcome her as a She Was Me Legacy Sister. A reminder that this scholarship is more than financial support. It’s the beginning of a lifelong sisterhood built on encouragement, purpose, and the commitment to one day reach back and help another woman rise.

We also had the privilege of celebrating Lashon Jarrells on her retirement after 29 years and 7 months of dedicated service as a Correctional Officer. Her commitment, resilience, and years of service have left a lasting impact, and we are excited to celebrate this well-earned new chapter in her life.

From celebrating a young woman just beginning her journey to honoring a woman whose legacy has already inspired so many, this event was a beautiful reminder of what She Was Me stands for.

Different seasons. One sisterhood.

Congratulations, Ja’Neriah and Lashon! We celebrate you both and wish you nothing but continued success.
