Protecting Our Four-Legged Heroes 🐾💙

The Sandy Springs Police Foundation’s latest efforts to protect our four-legged friends are making waves! 🐕‍🦺

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and the LESS Crime Act, we’re proud to provide protective vests for all four K-9s serving with the Sandy Springs Police Department. These brave pups work alongside our officers every day, and they deserve the very best protection. 🦺🐾

We’re so grateful to everyone who helps make moments like this possible. Together, we’re keeping our K-9s safe while they keep our community safe! 💙

🐾 Welcome to the family, Skye! 💙

Today, we’re excited to celebrate the arrival of Skye, a young Labrador Retriever with a very special purpose ahead of her.

Thanks to an incredible partnership with Warrior Paws Inc. and Rucker Dog Training, Skye has been selected to become the Sandy Springs Police Department’s first Community Canine, supporting the Victim Advocacy Program.

We’re proud to support initiatives like this that strengthen the bond between our officers, advocates, and the community we serve. This partnership also marks the launch of Warrior Paws’ new Community Canine Program.

Skye has a lot of growing and learning ahead of her, and we can’t wait to share her journey with you. From training to graduation and eventually serving our community, you’ll be seeing much more of this sweet girl.

Please join us in giving Skye the warmest Sandy Springs welcome! 🐶💙

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July from the Sandy Springs Police Foundation! ❤️🤍💙

Today is a time to celebrate our nation’s independence with the people who matter most. Whether you’re enjoying a backyard BBQ, spending time with family and friends, or watching fireworks light up the night sky, we hope your holiday is filled with fun, laughter, and lasting memories.

As you celebrate, please remember to make safety part of your plans:
🎆 Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
🚗 Never drink and drive! Plan for a safe ride home.
🔥 Keep an eye on grills and open flames.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Watch children closely and be mindful of your neighbors.

From all of us at the Sandy Springs Police Foundation, thank you to the officers and first responders working to keep our community safe this holiday. Wishing everyone a happy, safe, and memorable Fourth of July! 🇺🇸
