Join us for Yom HaShoah – the 61st Community-Wide Holocaust Commemoration.

On Sunday, April 12th at 11 AM (rain or shine), our community will gather at the Memorial to the Six Million at Greenwood Cemetery to remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and to honor the courage of survivors and rescuers.

For this 61st anniversary, held at the historic monument built by local survivors, we will hear firsthand testimony - reflections, memories, and wisdom. Their voices remind us that remembrance is not passive. It is a responsibility.

As we prepare for our 2026 Yom HaShoah Commemoration on April 12, we are creating a second memorial banner to honor Holocaust Survivors—and we invite you to help us bring this tribute to life.

If you have or had a Survivor in your family, please send us a photo from the shoulders up. You can reply directly to this email with the photo. We need 80 photos in order to make the banner!

Send us a head shot of anyone in your family, alive or deceased, who survived the Holocaust. If you already sent in photos, thank you, and no need to send again. If it is a couple, you may send in one photo or each person in two individual photos. The photo can be an older photo or newer. Please include name of person and country of birth.

If you scan the picture, please follow these guidelines:

Scan as a .jpg

Scan at a high resolution (i.e. 300 dpi or higher)

Do not send a picture of a photo

Your participation ensures their faces and stories of these Holocaust Survivors continue to be seen, remembered, and honored. Thank you for helping us preserve these sacred memories.
