🧡🐾 $3,317.12. One day. 🐾🧡

These two receipts represent a single day of veterinary care provided by Pet Project.

The receipt on the left is for our TNR cats.
The receipt on the right is for foster kittens receiving owned-cat appointments so they can be adopted into loving indoor homes.

Every cat and kitten on these receipts is now:
🐾 Fixed
🐾 Vaccinated
🐾 Healthier
🐾 One step closer to a better future

This is where your donations go.

Not to overhead.
Not to extras.
Not to luxuries.

Your donations go directly to veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and helping animals that otherwise would not receive the care they need.

Today alone, that care cost $3,317.12.

If you would like to help us continue this work, please consider making a donation.

🐾 Early morning clinic run! 🐾

We are SO excited to have Paula and Joel back! 🧡 They got in late last night and still volunteered to help with a 5:30 AM transport this morning. We’ve missed them and are so thankful to have them back helping the animals. ✨

You may also notice that the back of the van looks a little different on this run. Normally we are transporting TNR cats, but today’s passengers are all foster kittens headed to a different type of appointment. 🐱

Because these babies are being prepared for indoor homes, they are going through owned cat appointments instead of TNR appointments. That means:
🐾 no ear tips
🐾 but unfortunately, higher appointment costs

But it also means these kittens are one step closer to safe, loving forever homes indoors. 🧡

If you would like to help support transports and vet care like this, donations are always appreciated.

Meet Hope. 🧡🐾

She was given this name because she now has hope for a better life after coming into our care.

Hope’s previous “caretaker” was not kind to her. She was repeatedly forced inside and expected to immediately behave like a house cat without being given the time, patience, or space to decompress and adjust. On top of that, she had multiple litters, and her kittens were taken from her too early — leaving her stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed.

We tried to offer resources, education, and advice, but despite Hope being a perfectly healthy and beautiful cat, this person was determined to have her euthanized.

We could not let that happen.

And of course, we could not leave her four very spicy kittens behind either. 🐾🔥

They are now in our care as well. They will need a lot of patience, socialization, and work, but because they are still young — and because they did not have someone willing to treat them with kindness — we are going to do everything we can to help them learn that people can be safe.

Now Hope and her babies have a fresh start.
A future filled with safety.
A path toward healing.
A brighter life ahead. 🧡

🧡🐾 Pet Project Wish List 🐾🧡

One thing we are really proud of is being able to help not only the animals in our care, but also the individuals and colony caretakers in our community who are feeding and looking after outdoor cats

Many of these caretakers are doing the best they can out of their own pockets, and we love being able to bless them with food and supplies whenever possible. 🧡

Right now, we are especially in need of:

🐾 Wet kitten food
🐾 Dry kitten food
🐾 Dry cat food
🐾 Wet cat food
🐾 Royal Canin Digestive wet food (for ms. Avery)
🐾 Scratching posts
🐾 Cleaning supplies (paper towels, Odoban, trash bags, Lysol wipes, etc.)

Every donation helps support both our foster cats AND the community members helping care for cats outside.

Donations can be shipped or dropped off to:

Kitties are released. 🧡🐾

Now it’s time to clean, sanitize, and reset the traps for the next round. The work never really stops — and that’s a good thing.

Another 23 cats came back from the clinic yesterday — fixed, healthier, and one step closer to a safer life. 🧡🐾

Every cat altered means:
🐾 fewer kittens born outside
🐾 less fighting and fewer injuries
🐾 reduced disease spread
🐾 healthier community cats

This is the impact of TNR, and it only happens because of community support.

Thank you to everyone helping us make this work possible. 🧡

Chance has a second chance a a happy, healthy life that’s to a Good Samaritan, Lauren and Pet Project!

Lauren took this guy in to be neutered today. He has conjunctivitis (eye inflammation) ear mites and ticks. Luckily no broken bones, poisoning, etc.

He received a neuter, rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, Revolution (for flea tick, heartworm, ear mites and parasites) as well as an ear cleaning and mite treatment.

The vet noted that all of his bodily systems are normal besides his skin which is probably very likely cause by fleas and the multitude of issues they cause.

Neutering male cats GREATLY reduces injuries that can cause a cat to appear the way Chance does. He has probably gotten into many fights with other males. Now that he is neutered, he can live a calmer and happier life.

Lauren is going to keep him in a crate at her home for a few more days so he can relax and recover although he is semi feral and will need to be returned outdoors.

Thank you to everyone who showed concern for this cat! He is on his way to recovery. ❤️‍🩹
