The northern lights outshined the brightest full moon of 2025 last night between 10pm and 10:30pm. Here is the a look from the Shores and Islands Marblehead Lighthouse camera. You can see the bright light from the full moon (just out of the frame on the right) and the green and red pillars near the tree on the left side of the image.

Be safe out there….

Bye Bye Lake Erie! Strong winds could expose the lakebed near the shore in the western basin this afternoon. The water level near Toledo is expected to drop to 20 inches BELOW low water datum! The National Weather Service has issued a Low Water Advisory. Safe navigation will not be possible during the afternoon and evening for most. Meanwhile, Lake Erie will be angry in the central and eastern part of the lake today. Winds will gust over 50 mph and the waves could reach 15 feet late today and tonight!
