Never underestimate the power of a planted seed 🌱♥️🌱

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was hearing from Seeds of Empowerment and seeing firsthand how your generosity is already changing lives.

We were deeply moved by a survivor who courageously shared her story and reminded us that community involvement, compassion, and support are essential to the healing and recovery process. Her testimony was a powerful reminder that every donation made by our members has a lasting impact.

We also learned about one of the many programs our donation helps support. Incarcerated parents, stepparents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are given the opportunity to choose a children's book, record themselves reading it, and include a personal message for the child they love. The book and recording are then mailed to the child—often with a photo of their loved one—creating a priceless connection that offers comfort, hope, and reassurance during a difficult time.

This is the power of our collective giving. Together, we aren't just writing checks—we're changing lives and strengthening families throughout Erie County.

💙 Congratulations to the Erie County CASA Program, our selected charity for the July meeting! We are excited to support your mission of advocating for children in our community.

If you were unable to attend the meeting, please send your check to Linda as soon as possible so we can present our donation to the Erie County CASA Program. Every check received helps us make an even greater impact for the children CASA serves.

Thank you to everyone who continues to make 100+ Women Who Care Erie County such a powerful force for good in our community!

Thursday evening we were very humbled & blessed to be recognized for the generosity that was bestowed upon us recently by 100+ Women Who Care in Erie County, Ohio. The funding we have received has already been beneficial in purchasing items of need for survivors and will help us in creating more free human trafficking educational events throughout Erie County, as well as to bring another session of Aunt Mary’s Storybook of Companions Journeying Together to the Erie County Jail Life Recovery Program. We genuinely thank our esteemed board member Annette Mango for sharing her personal heart story of why this work matters 🌱♥️🌱.
In addition to this, we joined the organization and were able to each personally donate as new members to this month’s winner Erie County CASA Program - Ohio. How incredibly full circle for us to give back to another organization committed to serving youth in need, alongside women giving so generously ♥️🌱 The meeting discussed the impact of sharing your heart story. Many thanks to Elizabeth Moots for sharing our heart story and helping us continue to plant many seeds throughout Erie County… Never underestimate the power of a planted seed 🌱
