CHAFE 150

Yesterday, we celebrated the success of the 2026 CHAFE150 with our Rotary Club of Sandpoint Idaho and local sponsors. Thanks to your pedaling, generosity, and endless enthusiasm, we announced the award of a total of $140,000 to local education and youth causes.

$110,000 to the Lake Pend Oreille School District for literacy and summer tutoring programs.
$30,000 to Sandpoint Rotary Youth Programs for scholarships, RYLA, and student exchanges.
Because of you, the Sandpoint High School Class of 2026 hit a 100% basic literacy rate.

We couldn’t do any of it without each and every one you. Not the routes, not the rest stops, and not those moments when we get to hand over a big check and feel pretty darn proud of what this ride has accomplished. You make CHAFE150 matter.

Today the Sandpoint Rotary Club presented a check in the amount of $110,000, proceeds from the annual CHAFE 150. These funds to the Lake Pend Oreille School District supports the Every Student Graduates a Reader Program, plus a new High Dosage Summer literacy program for summer 2027.
These funds ensure that all LPOSD students graduate with the literacy tools they need to succeed in life.
It was a full house recognizing all those in our community who donated their money, time and energy to make this happen!
