What an incredible experience at the 98th Georgia FFA State Convention! WCHS arrived home with full hearts and a renewed passion for the industry that fuels our world.

A major highlight was hearing from Governor Brian Kemp about the vital importance of agriculture—reminding us all that it truly is the backbone of our state and our country.

Our chapter President was recognized as 2nd in the State for her Supervised Agricultural Experience!

Our members showed up, leaned in, and definitely had fun along the way building new relationships and igniting passion for leadership and agriculture.

Swipe through to see some of the best candid moments from the week, from the Career Expo to the arena floor, and our final group shot before hitting the road.

So proud of these students and the future they are building! We cannot wait to see where it takes them!

Huge congratulations to Hayley Locke for an incredible achievement at the 98th Georgia FFA State Convention!

Hayley took the stage in Macon to be recognized as the State 2nd Place winner in the Small Animal Production and Care Proficiency category.

This award recognizes the immense hard work, dedication, and technical skill she has poured into her Rabbitry Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE).

From the daily management of her herd to the detailed record-keeping required to compete at the state level, Hayley has consistently demonstrated what it means to strive for excellence in agriculture.

Placing 2nd in the entire state of Georgia is a massive milestone and a testament to her growth as a leader and a producer.

We are so proud of your outstanding accomplishment, Hayley! Keep leading the way!

Congratulations to these inspiring young leaders from WCHS on achieving the highest degree an FFA member can receive in Georgia!

Let’s give a huge round of applause to Elizabeth Stephens, Isabella Garner, Wilson Armstrong, and Mariah Koetter (not pictured) for receiving their FFA State Degree!

This isn't just an award; it's a testament to years of hard work, dedication, and a true passion for agriculture and leadership.

To earn this prestigious degree, these students had to:

* Demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities.

* Achieve academic excellence in their agricultural education courses.

* Excel in their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects.

* Contribute significantly to their chapter and community.

We are so incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the positive impact they are having on our community and the future of agriculture. Their commitment, resilience, and passion are an inspiration to us all.

This is a monumental milestone in their FFA journey, and we can't wait to see all the amazing things they will achieve next. Please join us in congratulating them !

The EMS FFA chapter has had a great first day at the 98th Georgia FFA convention. Chapter members started their day by partnering with the Macon chapter of sleep in heavenly peace to help build beds for kids who do not have one.

Chapter member Noah Davis also participated in the state talent program where he will sing during the 3rd session tomorrow at 10:30. He also was selected to sing the national anthem during the 6th session on Saturday at 11.

The chapter also attended the 1st session alongside almost 6900 other FFA members where they heard from Georgia Ag Commissioner Tyler Harper and Cory Back.

What an incredible day at the Georgia FFA State Convention!

Washington County High School members have been busy "Igniting" their passion for agriculture and leadership through a jam-packed schedule of service and discovery.

Here’s a look at what we have been up to:
**Service in Action:** Our crew rolled up their sleeves to package meals with Meals of Hope. There’s nothing like teamwork and a hairnet to bring a chapter together for a great cause!

**Exploring the Future:** We hit the Career Expo floor, meeting with industry pros and college reps to see where a career in Ag can take us.

**Session One:** We officially kicked things off at the first General Session! The energy in the arena was electric as we joined over 6,900 FFA members from across the state.

We are so proud of these students for representing our school and community with such heart and hustle. Stay tuned for more updates from the convention!
