Paws In Need - Bay Area Paws In Need is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving animal welfare Why Another Animal Non-Profit?

Paws In Need is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer organization that provides financial assistance for spay and neuter surgeries, necessary one-time medical treatment of community animals (feral, stray or owned), and medical care for low/no-income residents in the Tri-Valley area (Livermore, Pleasanton, Sunol, Dublin, San Ramon and Danville). Paws In Need has expanded the availability of financi

al assistance for Spay and Neuter surgeries to the general public. This is needed to reduce the number of animals that come to local shelters costing taxpayers millions of dollars each year. Under the Urgent Care/Advanced Procedures program, Paws In Need helps cover one-time costs for pet owners who cannot afford necessary emergency veterinary care. Its goal is to prevent unnecessary suffering and / or euthanasia of pets because the owner lacks financial resources.

Meet Monkey -- Success Story

This beautiful Bengal/tabby mix is owned by a very nice young man who came upon some very hard times the past few years. His beloved Monkey was experiencing a reoccurring issue with his front paw that wasn’t getting better. Already neutered, indoor only, Monkey met the criteria to go through our urgent care program in order to get a medical assistance grant and get a second opinion on a diagnosis and treatment to solve this issue once and for all. One of our trusted Veterinary partners stepped in and was able to determine the allergy and we were able to go from there. Monkey is doing much better and his owner is so appreciative.
