We treated Mr. P (who we've been treating for nearly 2 years) with acupuncture this week, and also took on another patient who's new to Zenerosity.

He's a sensitive, loving dude who Wendi works with in weekly riding lessons. He's growing out his barefoot hooves after having shoes for most of his life, and having some pain that we're helping to manage.

Cheers to improving quality of life for these service horses!

We live in the middle of wilderness, and it is tough to share your space with predators. We're doing everything we can to keep our animals as safe as they can be, while sharing the land.

I said it out loud in front of the kids, and now I can't take it back.

We've been fostering Lamine since he was 3 weeks old, nursing him through a bad infection. At his vaccine appointment with East Bay SPCA this weekend, I said it:
"We want to adopt him."

So, after his neuter, he'll be with us for the rest of his life ❤️

Yesterday, we woke up to sudden swelling of Mira's face, and she was very lethargic. We found the left side of her mouth...

Yesterday, we woke up to sudden swelling of Mira's face, and she was very lethargic. We found the left side of her mouth was bruised and bleeding. After Wendi consulted her veterinarian colleague, we treated her with pain medications and dewormer, in the event it was either a bite (insect or rattlesnake) or parasites.

Today, she is much more playful and alert, and is eating, even though her mouth still hurts a bit. Thank goodness for veterinarians who can help our animals!
