Please note that, as of July 8 AltaSea informed us via email that they do not believe the partnership will work to humanely relocate the cats at AltaSea. This was in response to concerns and evidence we provided regarding stalking and harassment of a rescuer.

The POLACAT team has grave concerns that the cats we have been attempting to relocate from the area across from the AltaSea entrance and those at Berth 56 are in grave danger.

Of the original 15 cats in and around the AltaSea property, the team successfully relocated six in roughly 45 days, and have simply asked for no interference while we attempt to relocate the rest. AltaSea has not been supportive of our efforts, even though they claim the cats cause issues on their property. POLACAT has undertaken this effort at no cost to AltaSea.

Please ensure that additional cats do not get abandoned in the area.

One more kitten off the streets around AltaSea!

These efforts can't be successful without a team of rescuers taking time out of their day to help get these kitties into a safer environment. This little tortie is now safe with one of our team - thanks Susan!!
