Rescue can be so bittersweet when you receive a email from a previous adopter when they had to say goodbye. Tonight the skies will light up with a brand new shining star. 🌟 RIP Chase, gone but never forgotten.
Hi there! Remember us? We adopted Chase (chocolate lab) from you in 2012 and then Laka black lab last April right after losing Brody. Unfortunately we had to put Chase to rest on 11/29. He hadn't been feeling well and we found out he had advanced lung cancer. He declined very quickly and we ended up having to put him to rest the day after finding out he was sick. Thank you so very much for saving him. He was 13.5 years old and Chase brought us so much joy and love and comfort and everything!! We love and miss him terribly.
Laka formally Monty, is doing so well and is so smart. We love him and are helping us to heal from losing two dogs in 7 months. One of Laka's many nicknames is Cuddle Cub because he loves to cuddle. He is also so mellow for a puppy!!! The picture and video is from Laka's 1st birthday. Chase and Laka loved each other and Chase taught him so many lessons during their 7 months together. Thank you for saving both of them and for choosing us to be their family.
