Anita Azenet who has written award-winning scripts Tulsa '21 and Fate Has No Plan - A Short Film, is now seeking readers for the table read of her next short film currently titled ANGELITA, a true story of the traumatic experiences of a young Mexican girl who was the first in her family to attend the Anglo school in 1950’s San Marcos, Texas. At this time, we are ONLY CASTING FOR A PRIVATE TABLE READ and selection does not guarantee a role in the film. Excellent readers who are actors are preferred, but non-actors who are excellent readers should submit. There is no pay.

Date for the reading will be Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 1PM – 2:30PM in San Marcos. (Address and script will be provided upon booking.)

Larry currently serves as treasurer, web development, and CRM for the Hays County Film Advisory Board. Larry started making films at a young age, learning storytelling through in-camera tricks, stop-motion, and silent narratives shot on 8mm and Super 8. His path led from Texas in s A&M with a BS in Industrial Engineering to the oilfield and industrial sales, but never lost the creative impulse. He trained as a fine-art black-and-white photographer in Dallas, then merged creativity with analytics in marketing—building a local manufacturer's marketing department during the rise of the internet and YouTube. Larry has worn many hats on local productions—producer, director, videographer, sound, gaffer, editor—and has competed in 72-Hour and 48-Hour film projects. Larry is continually seeking collaborative, hands-on opportunities to grow as a storyteller and creative partner.
