We are honored to announce the Choose Joy Campaign—a t-shirt fundraiser created to honor the life and memory of Gene Martin.

Gene was truly something special. He was a mobilizer of people, dedicated to meeting the needs of others. He loved deeply, cared demonstratively, and truly lived JOY. His passion and enthusiasm for the well-being of others were matched by his wife. He would have loved "Choose Joy" continuing to ignite change, hope and joy for others in his name.

When his wife, Shaila, approached us about continuing the Choose Joy campaign to benefit Mission Able, we were deeply humbled. We are honored to carry on Gene’s legacy for the benefit of the neighbors we serve.

💛 How to support: Proceeds from every purchase directly support our home repair program. Campaign runs through the beginning of November.

We have an exciting new partner: Medical Explorers at TXST. These health sciences students have superb training and give their time to provide medical and injury care at local events. They have joined forces with Mission Able ensuring our volunteers have the best care on project sites.
Share a 💙 if this gets you even more excited to volunteer with Mission Able!

It is with gratitude that Mission Able announces our continued partnership with the Greater
Fayette Community Foundation to enhance economic security and educational opportunities in
Hays County. We would like to thank GFCF for their recent investment in Mission Able’s
Critical Home Repair Program.
"We are deeply grateful to the Greater Fayette Community Foundation for investing in the safety
and dignity of our neighbors," said Monica Followell, the Executive Director of Mission Able.
"A leaking roof, an accessibility issue, or a structural hazard can completely upend a
homeowner's life. This grant allows Mission Able to develop young leaders, teach them about
service in the community, and complete critical home repair projects for our neighbors.”
GFCF’s Green Door Fund seeks to empower individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to
drive growth, resilience, and long-term regional success, and to enhance economic security and
educational opportunities for local students and professionals.

Today is the day! 🎉 Welcome to .
If you have a Donor-Advised Fund, today is the perfect day to put those dollars to work. You have already done the hard part by setting money aside for charity—now, you get to choose the immediate impact it makes.
Here is exactly what your DAF grants build at Mission Able:
🔨 A $1,500 grant funds critical weatherization and some insulation to lower utility bills for a senior on a fixed income.
🔨 A $3,000 grant builds a custom ADA-compliant wheelchair ramp, restoring independence.
🔨 A $10,000 grant replaces a failing roof, protecting an entire home from water damage for decades.
Your DAF allows you to give intentionally and seamlessly. Please consider directing a grant to Mission Able today to help us clear our waitlist of homeowners needing urgent repairs.

2026 has been a huge year of growth for Mission Able. When we look at the numbers on this quarterly report it just shows how much we can only continue this growth with our people showing up and showing out!
Join our Mission Able community to be a part of what’s happening on an even larger scale.

Asking our youngest volunteers for some ideas about a project, you never know what kind of answer you’ll get!

We love when the whole family joins us on a workday project. It adds a completely different energy to a worksite.

*we in fact did not have extra time for the zip-line.
