Hello everyone! We would like to recognize our absence here. We have been doing the backend but vital work of learning to be in community with one another in a way that minimizes harm that happens under oppressive systems. We are finally getting back into a flow. We would like to open up our peer led skill sharing workshops to any community members who would like to come learn with us. We have a goal of having four workshops a month considering the capacity of all involved. We would like to encourage social distancing at the two events that will be in person/outdoors. Please come build an authentic community with us! We would love to meet new comrades and true solidarity!

The members of our organization have been busy growing and learning how to be in community with one another! We apologize for not being more active here. We recognize that this is a powerful place for building community that we hope to utilize more. We needed some time to reflect on what was working, what was not and learning to reduce the amount of harm happening around us before we moved forward. We are forever growing from those lived experiences! We do not enforce a punitive system that punishes folks for not having the energy to organize. Especially considering the oppressive systems plaguing most of us constantly because it does require labor and energy that most of us must conserve. We have learned priceless lessons in harm reduction and ableism by being a collective of folks who want to build the world we want to see while simultaneously working hard to survive in the world we currently live in. IWe would love to realign with our original goal of building authentic solidarity and open up some of our workshops to any budding comrades out there! Here is a schedule of the community/peer-led workshops we will be participating in this month! All are welcome! We will post more details about each event the night before. Please free to reach out beforehand to get more information or attend one of our weekly meetings (Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30pm via jitsi meet) to collaborate on ideas!

"The Hopi rely on rains to grow corn, carrying on ancient traditions of dry farming in desert valleys that stretch between the mesas. Maintaining these traditions has grown more difficult during years of scorching drought in the Southwest, which scientific research has shown is being intensified by the heating of the planet with the burning of fossil fuels."

“Are we going to run out of corn?” A Hopi farmer is determined to grow crops the traditional way, even as unrelenting drought dries the land.
