Dymphna, the only daughter to a pagan king, took after her mother in faith and beauty, taking a vow of chastity at a young age. After the death of his wife, Dymphna’s father sought to marry his daughter, causing her to flee. After finding her and her continued refusals, Dymphna’s father cut off her head making her a martyr at the age of fifteen.

John Bosco, also known as Don Bosco, was an Italian Roman Catholic priest who dedicated his life to the betterment and education of street children, juvenile delinquents, and other disadvantaged youth, employing teaching methods based on love rather than punishment. A follower of the spirituality and philosophy of Saint Francis de Sales, Bosco dedicated his works to him when he founded the Salesians of Don Bosco.

Saint Hilary was born into a wealthy, pagan family, and educated in philosophy and rhetoric. He believed people should rise above their desires and live a life of virtue. This leads him to search for truth, where he “read” himself into the faith through the Gospels. There he found the confirmation of the one true God and our purpose of life, eternity. He was elected Bishop after his conversion, only soon to be exiled by the A***ns. This gave him time to research and write on the Trinity and the nature of God, refuting the A***n Heresy. He was the first to compose hymns based on Scripture.
