Some SoCal beaches now offer access mats or “mobi mats” that make it easier to traverse the sandy terrain while wearing prosthetic legs. Beach wheelchairs with large, wide wheels are also increasingly available, providing a smooth ride across the sand and making beach outings not only possible but also enjoyable for everyone.
