Two days ago (Saturday), our team spent time at the Sober Living Environment and Training Center (SLE), working alongside the clients. It was a meaningful and encouraging day as we engaged with individuals committed to rebuilding their lives.

Yesterday, we visited New Life House, an alcohol and drug recovery center, where we spent time with the clients and their families.
We were also joined by girls from a nearby home for at-risk youth, further enriching the sense of community and connection. The girls shared traditional Lao dances and songs, offering a beautiful expression of their culture and bringing joy to all in attendance.
The day concluded with a communal meal, strengthening relationships and fostering a spirit of unity among everyone present.

Also featured are images of a simple yet effective water filtration system constructed from layers of rocks, sand, and specialized charcoal. This system will be implemented in another village once a new well is completed, helping provide access to cleaner, safer water.

Over the past two days, our team had the opportunity to visit Ban Nahom village to check on the bridge project we funded. This bridge, which had previously been washed out each year during the rainy season, was a critical need for the community. We are encouraged to see that it is holding strong and serving its purpose well—providing safer, more reliable access for the villagers.

In addition, we were able to deliver school supplies to two schools. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we had enough supplies remaining to extend our reach to two additional schools (approximately 400 students in all!)

We also provided much-needed reading and distance glasses to two villages, helping approximately 80 individuals improve their vision and daily quality of life.

We are grateful for the continued opportunity to serve and support these communities.

Yesterday in Ban Thin, we had the privilege of providing both distance and reading glasses to villagers—bringing clearer vision and immediate relief to many.

Later in the day, we assessed a local school in urgent need of reconstruction, along with a well that must be deepened to ensure reliable access to water. The school is also without a proper toilet facility, highlighting additional needs we hope to address.

The eyeglasses were generously funded by our partners at Thailand, Laos, Cambodia Brotherhood (TLC-Brotherhood.org), a group of military veterans who served during the Vietnam War and continue to make a lasting impact in the region.

Today, we return to the school to deliver much-needed school supplies for the children (also provided by TLCB)—always one of the most meaningful and memorable parts of our trip.

We were incredibly humbled to walk alongside a small village in central Laos as they completed a bridge that is washed out by flooding year after year. This wasn’t just a project—it was a community pouring their own strength, time, and heart into something they truly need. The labor came from the villagers themselves; we simply had the privilege of supporting them.

One moment we’ll never forget was seeing them gathered on the finished bridge, sharing a meal together. Food is deeply meaningful in their culture, and watching that space—once a point of struggle—become a place of connection and joy was powerful.

It reminded us that even the smallest acts of support can ripple into something far greater. We are grateful, honored, and deeply moved to have played a small part in their story.

This is what making an Impact looks like!

Yesterday we checked out a school toilet project that one of our partners, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia Brotherhood (TLCB) is constructing. While there, we were able to show them how to clean out a water filtration system for a well that was down due to clogging.

We were also able to spend a bit of time with the kids which is always fun and amazing!

We then checked out a bridge that a village is asking Impact Laos to help reconstruct due to flooding/washout issues.

Today (Wed) we head to Bualapha to check on some medical equipment that TLCB donated to a local hospital.

Today was the fourth and final school on this trip, the one that started it all - Ban Nahom. It was here that the vision was born to help the small, poor village that bloomed into helping thousands all over Laos.

It was great to help the kids with school supplies and provide reading glasses to those "less young" and of course, great to see old friends.

Today we distributed school supplies to over 300 students. The interactions and joy from the kids was amazing they received their supplies. It's never more evident that kids are kids no matter where you are when given the opportunity to engage and interact.

The first school is Najat Primary
