Two days ago (Saturday), our team spent time at the Sober Living Environment and Training Center (SLE), working alongside the clients. It was a meaningful and encouraging day as we engaged with individuals committed to rebuilding their lives.
Yesterday, we visited New Life House, an alcohol and drug recovery center, where we spent time with the clients and their families.
We were also joined by girls from a nearby home for at-risk youth, further enriching the sense of community and connection. The girls shared traditional Lao dances and songs, offering a beautiful expression of their culture and bringing joy to all in attendance.
The day concluded with a communal meal, strengthening relationships and fostering a spirit of unity among everyone present.
Also featured are images of a simple yet effective water filtration system constructed from layers of rocks, sand, and specialized charcoal. This system will be implemented in another village once a new well is completed, helping provide access to cleaner, safer water.
