From 2010-2014, Growing Roots of Wellness (GROW) was a SJSU student club that cultivated the Statues Garden. For some time, we also cultivated the container gardens by the fitness center where we grew herbs. At the statues garden, we grew herbs like oregano, and vegetables like artichokes, kale and more! We are so grateful for all the community members, students and faculty that volunteered with us. In 2014, the club ended, and the Associated Students Cesar Chavez Community Action Center at SJSU started a Campus Community Garden.

Despite COVID-19, CCCAC is still cultivating the garden and growing many amazing vegetables and fruits. On Tuesday September 22nd at 12pm-3pm PST, join CCCAC Manager Diana Victa for:

FALL EQUINOX AND HARVEST FESTIVAL
Tuesday, September 22, 12-3pm
CCCAC IGTV Livestream

The community garden is a place where students can learn and participate in the process of growing food sustainably, but it does not end there! Students can also harvet and enjoy organic, free and locally grown produce. This space provides a place for student initiative, cooperation and cultural exc...

Mostly unregulated, fracking has destroyed numerous communities throughout the country and now the issue may be in our own backyard.
