Hearts & Minds Activity Center is looking for some volunteers to help them with their Annual Gala on Saturday, May 31st.

Volunteer Opportunities shifts are very flexible. Volunteers Opportunities below. Please let me know if you can spare a few hours to help out. 💕

Saturday : Before the event (9 am - 11:00 am)
** Need 7 Volunteers to assist with set up.

During the event (4:30 pm - 7 pm)
** Need 10+ Volunteers to assist with the event.

After the event (7:00 pm -9:00 pm)
** Need 10+ Volunteers to help break down.

Sunday : Day after the event (8am -2pm)
** Need 3+ Volunteers.

RENTAL NEEDED: Family with a baby and adult son and a 25lb "well-behaved" doggie need a rental. Their current home is being sold and they must find a home by the end of July or sooner. Budget: $4k or less. Would prefer Campbell, Willow Glen or San Jose close to the Burbank/Cambrian/Rose Garden Areas, but flexible. PLEASE HELP! DM me if you have a lead and I will connect you.

Big News! Silicon Valley Cares (SVC) is making a come back in a very fun way! We are going to paint a mural on the fence outside of Hearts & Minds Activity Center in San Jose on June 1st. Local artist, Dena Corinthos Noble, is going to outline an uplifting drawing similar to what is pictured below. Then with her guidance SVC (both original and anyone wanting to join) is welcome to help paint in the outline. Think paint by numbers. NO art background needed.

Hearts & Minds Activity Center is an adult day program that provides people affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia an interactive, safe, nurturing environment to allow their caregivers the ability to work and do things outside the home. They also provide an onsite child care. Hearts & Minds has provided services to over 6,000 individuals living with dementia and their families.
