Join us on Saturday, March 12 from 3-6pm at the School of Visual Philosophy for an event full of communal art making to celebrate our beautiful city of San José.
San José State University’s College of Humanities will host a variety of workshops run by local artists, poets, students, and faculty from SJSU working in the arts. View art through a Mobile Art Kiosk, create visual art pieces through photography and printmaking, or share your experience about living in San José through writing.
All participants will have the opportunity to submit their creations to the San Jose Story Map with help of student assistants via our submission booth. The San Jose Story Map is a digital map that showcases community contributions illuminating the rich histories and vibrant cultures found in our beloved City of San José and beyond.
This project is sponsored by the College of Humanities Arts Artistic Excellence Programming Grant and a grant from California Humanities, a nonprofit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
