Friends and colleagues, please join us this Tuesday, April 7th, for our annual event "A San Francisco CHINA Town Hall" on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, from 3:30-5:45 pm PT at the office of Nixon Peabody LLP, 1 Embarcadero Center, 32nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94111.
Produced by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (hashtag ), the CHINA Town Hall is a program that provides a snapshot of the current hashtag -hashtag relationship and examines how that relationship reverberates at the local level – in our towns, states, and nation – connects people around the country with U.S. policymakers and thought leaders on China.
This year's CHINA Town Hall will feature Stephen Biegun, former U.S. deputy secretary of state, and Sarah Beran, former deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and former senior director for China and Taiwan affairs at the White House National Security Council.
Immediately following the Keynote webcast, Aaron Rose will moderate an in-person panel discussion featuring the following Bay Area academic and business leaders:
• David Kaufman, Director of Global Strategies, Nixon Peabody, LLP
• Ker Gibbs, Executive in Residence at the University of San Francisco's Center for Asia Pacific Studies and author of "The Fragile Dragon: Trade, Trump, and China's Vulnerabilities"
