We posted nearly 1000 Wreaths today at Mare Island Naval Cemetery. This is an annual event to remember and honor the deceased Navy and Marine veterans buried there. Each headstone received a Wreath. The photo is very historical; the three ladies and I Great-Grandfathers fought in the Revolutionary War. The ladies are all members of the Daughters of the American Revolution and I am a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

A reminder that December 13, 2025, at 9 am is the annual Wreaths Across America at Mare Island Naval Cemetery. A short ceremony will be held, followed by the placement of wreaths on each headstone. Please feel free to come and help place the wreaths.

The Vallejo Council of the Navy League adopted the Mare Island Naval Cemetery with Wreaths Across America and needs to raise enough money to purchase 1000 wreaths to be placed on each Grave site of the nearly 1000 Sailors and Marines interned.
Each year, the Vallejo Navy League Sponsors this ceremony along with millions of Americans across America to remember the fallen, Honor those that served and their families. This gathering of volunteers and patriots takes place at local and national cemeteries in all 50 states.

Help ensure every veteran’s headstone at Mare Island Naval Cemetery has a wreath.
