Why join us?

Because you will engage in meaningful discussions inside the U.S. Congress.

Because you will receive the Human Rights Advocacy & Public Engagement Training led by the US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights.

Because you will learn how awareness-building initiatives, public engagement, petition drives, and community action create real impact.

Because you will not only be trained — you will put that training into practice through petition signing and a Human Rights Walk to the White House.

Co-hosted by Youth for Human Rights International (25th Anniversary) and the US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights.

Dear Community Members,

As a regional Director of San Franciso, I am addressing our community in the intent of unity, dignity and most inportantly PEACE after the unfortunate events involving ICE.

San Francisco is home for people of multiple backgrounds, journeys, and stories; what unites us is not where we come from, but our humanity and commitment to living together with RESPECT and COMPASSION.

Moments like these can bring fear, pain, and uncertainty to many families, and it is our responsibility as leaders to acknowledge this reality with empathy and care.

I call for calm, dialogue, and mutual respect; violence, hatred, and division do not serve justice and do not reflect the values of this city.

At the same time, we must not lose sight of the human impact of policies and actions - every individual deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of status or circumstance.

Let us choose PEACE over provocation, understanding over fear, and unity over division.

San Francisco has always been a city that leads with heart, stands for human rights, and believes in the power of community.

This is the moment to reaffirm those values. Together, through respectful conversation and collective responsibility, we can move forward in a way that honors both our laws and humanity.

Thank you and PEACE be upon you all☮️
