Miss Unlimited Foundation

Miss Unlimited Foundation The Miss Unlimited Pageant was founded on the principle of empowering the true beauty and unlimited potential of girls with special needs. Michelle Wynn.

The “Miss Unlimited” pageant was created by a group of Saint Ignatius students who have been working under the direction of teacher Ms. Their inspiration for this project was the HBO documentary “Miss You Can Do It,” the story of Abby Curran, the first competitor in the Miss USA pageant with a disability. She, in turn, created a pageant for young girls with disabilities. Girls ages 5-22 who partic

ipate can embrace their own beauty, inside and out. While organizing this event, the original mission was transcended, and the young women and men also embraced each others inner and outer beauty, finding strength in their common goal of recognizing beauty everywhere. After the success of the first event in may of 2014, we decided to create the Miss Unlimited Foundation in order to foster future Pageants in San Francisco. With support from SF City Hall and other community entities, we want to build the Miss Unlimited Pageant to be an annual event that families, friends, and the community look forward to participating in. The Second Annual Miss Unlimited Pageant will take place on May 9, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Theater. We will have celebrity judges, generously donated gifts, and the chance to inspire the beauty in us all. More details to come. Feel free to contact [email protected] for more details or ways you can support this amazing event.
