Last week, BAJA brought together Jewish leaders from across the Bay Area for the Bay Area Jewish Democratic Leaders Summit at URJ Camp Newman.

Through workshops, networking, and camp activities, this special convening gave Jewish leaders the opportunity to connect, learn from one another, and strengthen the relationships and skills that power effective Jewish advocacy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an inspiring weekend. We look forward to continuing this important work together!

BAJAPAC is proud to stand with candidates who fight for Jewish issues and values.

Last year, BAJAPAC allied candidates helped pass legislation to combat antisemitism in schools, expand security grants for nonprofit organizations, keep ICE off school campuses without a warrant, protect the privacy of transgender Californians, and more!

If you want to help ensure our community is represented by candidates who will stand up for these priorities, support BAJAPAC today at bayareajewishaction.org.

We’re proud to be at the tip of the spear in building a new model of Jewish political engagement.

When BAJA launched in 2024, we knew that creating a 501(c)(4) advocacy organization was essential to meeting this moment and securing our community’s future. Since then, we’ve shared what we’ve learned with dozens of Jewish communities across the country exploring how they, too, can build the political power and grassroots infrastructure our communities need.

We’re pleased to see this field growing, with more Jewish communities investing in local organizing and political engagement.

As America celebrates its 250th birthday, we're reminded that democracy is strongest when people show up, get involved, and work together.

Thank you to the Alameda County Jewish Democratic Club for welcoming BAJA to their Fourth of July celebration. We are committed to continue advancing Jewish values and strengthening our democracy.

What happened in New York should be a wake-up call.

As political movements that normalize antisemitism continue to gain influence, the Bay Area cannot afford to look the other way. We've already seen local DSA activists oppose protections for Jewish students (AB 715), advocate for BDS, and back candidates whose rhetoric has alienated and targeted the Jewish community.

BAJA helped defeat DSA-aligned candidates in the primary, but November will be the real test.
