KALW hosts an intergenerational conversation about q***r solidarity during the AIDS crisis and how those lessons are still relevant today.

What does one generation of q***r people owe the next? What wisdom, strategies, and stories can help us navigate uncertainty, isolation, and political backlash today? Through personal storytelling, oral history, and audience dialogue, LGBTQ+ elders who lived through the height of the epidemic will share their experiences of community, activism, caregiving, resistance, and love in San Francisco.

KALW hosts an intergenerational conversation about q***r solidarity during the AIDS crisis and how those lessons are still relevant today.

Happy Juneteenth from all of us at SFAF including our Black Health team, which includes Black Brothers Esteem (BBE), HUES, and TransLife. We're honoring the enduring strength and resilience of our Black communities today (and always), while recognizing the legacy of all who have fought for our liberation.

We're on the verge of a historic investment in HIV and LGBTQ+ programs and services over five years in California--we just need Governor Newsom to approve a 5-year plan that has already been approved by our Legislature.

We are calling on Governor Newsom to invest in and expand the programs we know work. Join us in advocacy!

Stand With Us: Tell the City to restore all funding for LGBTQ+ and HIV infrastructure in San Francisco!

The Mayor’s $3 million in budget cuts would unravel decades of progress, destabilize community anchors that have built trust over generations, and put thousands of LGBTQ+ San Franciscans at immediate risk— disproportionately affecting those who are trans, BIPOC, immigrant, and low-income.

We are calling on the City to fully fund the q***r, trans, and HIV care infrastructure we have spent years building. Join the Fighting for Our San Francisco action and press conference at City Hall TODAY 6/18 between 10am-2pm to urge the Mayor and Board of Supervisors: restore every remaining dollar.

In late 1999, Troy was admitted to the hospital with pneumocystis pneumonia. He was in a coma for nearly two months. After leaving the hospital, Troy re-connected with San Francisco AIDS Foundation. It was more than assistance—it was a turning point. Your gift to SFAF helps create these turning points. https://bit.ly/4ufIzwC

Thanks to our incredible LGBTQ & HIV activists who joined HIV Advocacy Network (HAN) to meet with SF supervisors and urge them to restore funding for HIV, LGBTQ+ and harm reduction services in the San Francisco budget. The day had incredible momentum and energy thanks to everyone who joined us! Join us in future actions—and take action to protect against proposed cuts (link in bio).
