Yesterday, we celebrated a major milestone at GLIDE: the first graduating cohort of our Workforce Job Readiness Academy at the Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Center. 🎓

Over 12 weeks, participants built skills in job readiness, life skills, financial literacy, and employment exploration — and every graduate now either has a job lined up, going to school, or is interviewing.

We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and perseverance.

Special thanks to Denise Moody, Terrell Henderson, all our dedicated TAY staff, and our sponsors — especially BMO U.S. — for helping make this possible.

This is what opportunity, support, and community can do. ❤️

Your ballot is your voice. Make sure you know what’s on it.

From affordable housing and public transit to education and taxes, the choices we make at the ballot box can have a real impact on our communities.

GLIDE’s 2026 Voter Guide breaks down where we stand on California propositions and San Francisco ballot measures, so you can head into Election Day informed and ready.

Take a look at our positions, talk them over with your family, friends, and neighbors, and make your plan to vote.

Come join us Sundays at 9 AM or 11 AM at GLIDE Memorial Church. There’s a place for you here.
Today, we kicked off our new theme, Sacred Belonging: Nobody Is Disposable.

Minister Marvin started the Celebration by asking everyone to turn to someone around them, say hello, and acknowledge each other. It was a simple moment, but that’s what belonging can look like.

We want everyone who comes through our doors to feel seen, heard, and loved. Whether it’s your first Sunday with us or you’ve been part of this community for years, you belong in this Sanctuary.

Come as you are. We’ll see you next Sunday.

Get ready, world. This Love is coming.

Today, we got a sneak peek at This Love, a powerful new documentary honoring the extraordinary lives, love, and legacy of Rev. Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani, the visionaries who helped create the GLIDE movement.

Following the screening, Dr. Gina Fromer joined Kim Williams, Rev. Cecil’s daughter, and Reggie Johnson, Chair of the GLIDE Memorial Church Board, for a conversation about what it means to carry Jan & Cecil’s legacy forward and how we keep sharing their radical, transformative love with the world.

Their message was never simply to talk about love. It was to put love into action.

And that work continues.

Housing costs, our schools, public transit—these are things we talk about because they affect our lives and our neighbors every day.

We put together this guide to share where GLIDE stands on state propositions and San Francisco ballot measures.

Read it, talk about it with the people in your life, and share it with someone who might find it helpful. Then make your plan to vote.
