Last season took Mercury Soul across San Francisco, from the Asian Art Museum and de Young Museum to Grace Cathedral and Saint Joseph’s Arts Society.

Different spaces, different sounds, and one idea at the center of it all: bringing classical music and electronic music together in unexpected places, surrounded by immersive visuals and an audience free to experience it all a little differently.

We’re looking back at some favorite moments from an incredible season as we get ready for what’s next.

New Mercury Soul shows are coming soon. Stay tuned. 🎶

A Mercury Soul experience is about so much more than what happens onstage. ✨ A big thank you to Char.cuterie San Francisco (Char.cuterie | EcoChic Charcuterie Art), a longtime supporter of Mercury Soul who has helped make so many of our events both beautiful and delicious.

Throwing it back to this incredible spread at the Asian Art Museum, where Char.cuterie helped us create a night bringing together music, immersive design, food, and community.

We’re so grateful for the local partners who help bring the full Mercury Soul experience to life. Thank you, Char.cuterie!

Innovative performances like this don’t happen without the support of our community.

We’re incredibly grateful to SF Grants for the Arts (GFTA) for helping make Mercury Soul’s work possible. Their support allows us to bring together DJs, strings, taiko, opera, dance, immersive visuals, and adventurous audiences in ways that challenge expectations and create entirely new musical experiences.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us continue to push the boundaries of live performance.

🧑‍🩰😍 Still thinking about this moment from our sold-out Saint Joseph’s Arts Society performance earlier this year.

Set beneath the soaring arches of the former church, principal dancers Joe Walsh (Joseph Walsh) and Jasmine Jimison (Jasmine Jimison) of San Francisco Ballet brought a sense of magic to the evening. Their performance wove seamlessly through Mercury Soul’s blend of classical music, electronic sound, and immersive visuals, leaving the audience utterly spellbound.

One of those special moments where music, movement, architecture, and light all seemed to align.

🎻✨Learn more about Mercury Soul’s education initiatives and our commitment to inspiring the next generation of artists, audiences, and music lovers.

From community partnerships in East Palo Alto to the Anne Akiko Meyers (Anne Akiko Meyers) Youth Ambassador Program, we’re creating opportunities for young people to engage with classical music in new and meaningful ways. By connecting DJ culture, immersive production, and classical performance, we aim to reach audiences that traditional outreach programs often miss, particularly teenagers.

Our Youth Ambassadors receive professional performance opportunities, artistic mentorship, portfolio materials, social media features, and connections with leading Bay Area artists, all while experiencing Mercury Soul’s unique blend of music, technology, and spectacular production.

Shout out to our incredible Youth Ambassadors, Kochavia Glaubach, Sophie Deng, Aaliyah Capili, Alliana Lili Yang, Ava Pakiam, Carlos Alvarez, and Diego de la Cruz Iwadare, for sharing their talents and helping us inspire the next generation. A sold-out crowd joined us for a night that moved from Mozart and Ravel to Duke Ellington, Piazzolla, Gabriela Lena Frank, Mason Bates, and beyond, brought to life by an extraordinary group of artists.

Thank you to DJ Masonic (Mason Bates), DJ Justin Reed, conductor Daniel Stewart, the Mercury Soul String Ensemble, pianist Elyse Weakley, soprano Kochavia Glaubach, Mercury Soul Brass featuring Aaron Lington, Jiten Daiko, SF Ballet principals Joseph Walsh and Jasmine Jimison, visual designer Mark Johns, and everyone behind the scenes who made the evening possible.

Most of all, thank you to the audience. The energy in the room was unforgettable.
